• For $100, a single or a family of up to 4 can join LGRA on the August Only membership.
• For $150, a family of 5 to 8 can join LGRA on the August Only membership.
• The family members must all live in the same household.
• Proper ID is required.
• Payment must be made in full and accompany the application.
• A Household may participate in this August Only membership promotion a maximum of two times ( two separate years).
• After you have enjoyed this promotion, in order to join the pool in the future you will be required to pay the member initiation and all related dues.
• Guests who live in the City of Richmond are limited to 5 visits per season.
• LGRA August Only member ID must be shown at the gate upon each visit.
• Failure to follow these guidelines will result in termination of the membership without refund.

Every Tuesday and Thursday at Lewis Ginter Recreational Association, Sensei Brian Hill of River City Aikido offers traditional marital arts training for the whole family!

Taught by Sensei Brian Hill!

Brian Hill Sensei began studying aikido in 1996 at the age of 26, and also studied tae kwon do and karate in his youth. He was promoted to yondan (fourth degree black belt) in March of 2010. Brian studied as a live-in student under Pat Hendricks sensei in San Leandro, CA, and Hitohiro Saito sensei in Iwama, Japan. He began teaching aikido in 2001, and opened River City Aikido in the Spring of 2005.

Brian is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy for adults, children, adolescents, and their families. He supervises therapists and facilitates anger management and substance abuse therapy at the Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center. He also provides psychotherapy in private practice through Cypress Counseling. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College and a master’s degree in clinical social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
